Recently I viewed a provocative documentary, titled The American Gospel: Christ Alone, which proved to be an enlightening presentation on the state of Christianity in our country. I must say that if you have yet to view it, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do so. The focus of this film is the examination of the evolution of Christianity in America from its roots, which were grounded in scripture, even if not fully followed, to a brand of Christianity that does not remotely resemble anything that neither Jesus nor the first-century church would recognize.
