So what thoughts are dancing through your mind as Thanksgiving and the holiday come into consciousness? Is it the vibrant reggae trifecta of family, food, and football, or is it the pensive melody of lost love, loneliness or lethargy?
If you’ve endured a loss, you know these feelings well. You know how grief rips through your heart, making you feel like life will never be the same. Things may never get back to normal, but your resilient self begins the journey to the new normal. Your faith equips you with the confidence to lean on the promises of the WORD and the encouragement of community as you seek to find your stride again.
There is a certain sensitivity that the holiday season enables – an acute jolt of remembrance that can detour you from your journey to a new normal. We all come with different capacities and circumstances to heal and need the persistent encouragement and the patience of fellow believers to see us through.
The Heartlifters ministry is energized to be the embodiment of support for those who have experienced loss from death, divorce, or dementia. Elements of support have been crafted to provide compassionate listening, and prayer support for your holiday season. These are as follows:
A weekly community prayer on Tuesday mornings from 10 – 10:15 am.When you call 425-440-5010 and enter pin 867642#, you can participate in a vibrant prayer session.
A 24/7 phone line on which you can leave your prayer request. This is a listening line that will capture your request and provide support as directed by you.
An email box, prayer@heartlifters.com, that allows you to detail a request.
A prayer app has also been secured. Go to Heartlifters.org and click on “Prayer” and leave a prayer request. Or if you have an iPhone, download the “Amen: The Prayer App” and scroll down to HeartLifters. Log in and leave a prayer request. Android app is coming soon.
As you journey through this holiday season, our prayer for you is that you will find a positive sense of renewal and fresh possibilities of growing hope.
