Happy Monday family!
I pray that you had a blessed Father’s Day weekend and that you were able to celebrate and honor your fathers in a meaningful way. As I said on Sabbath, although my father has fallen asleep in Jesus, I am still especially grateful for the many lessons that he taught me, most of which were “caught” and not taught. My prayer is that we will take the lessons that have been given to us by our Heavenly Father and use them as each of us strives to live a life that brings glory and honor to his name.
Tonight the Sligo Church Board is scheduled to have its monthly meeting. One of the issues that we will be discussing is the results from the survey that many of you took regarding the reopening of the church building for worship. As you know, the purpose of this survey was to allow our members to share their honest feelings regarding their interest in returning to in-person worship once the state of Maryland has given the all clear. That being said, please know that the return will not be an immediate return to the conditions that we once knew, but a gradual assimilation that will take some time, and patience will be needed. In the very near future we will share with the church at large the results of the survey as well as any plans that we might at that time have to return to the church building.
Kids, please don’t forget to ask your parents to purchase some sunflower seeds so that you might participate in this annual event where we experience the amazing power of our Creator through the planting of these seeds. And don’t forget to take a picture of you and your sunflower and send it to me at <ctapp@sligochurch.org> so that I can share it with the church family one Sabbath.
As always, please take a moment and review the opportunities of how we can continue to do life together while we are apart:
